Connect To Yourself

The project “Connect to Yourself” is a research project of conceptual of motivating and facilitating a workshop. Student faces various challenges; especially as first-year students/newcomer, it takes a mental and physical process to be in a schedule. Motivation is a crucial element for student and listening to other voices; their experiences helps the audience to listen to themselves. Video - Three questions asked students, staff & faculty, and recording in as a video and shown to people who are attending the workshop recorded as a video. Workshop - There are three activities for them at the studio to draw, write a postcard to yourself, and with the help of string try to connect to others or be yourself and create something out of it.

1. Have you ever spoken to yourself? If yes, please share with us & if no, what will you be saying to yourself? 
2. Do you want to say something to yourself “now” & what do you think you will say to yourself “after 20 year”? 
3. Gratitude, Compassion, Apology & Forgiveness, have  you ever received from other or has anyone express it to you?
In the workshop
Participants are watching the video where they listen to different answers from different
people when asked the 3 questions above.
Activity 1
After watching the video, the participants are given a piece of paper
They are asked to draw, sketch doodle whatever they want or like
They have 10 minutes for free style drawing
Materials are available
Activity 2
After drawing on the one side, they are asked to flip the blank side
Now they are asked to write a postcard for themselves
They have 10 minutes to write the postcard

Activity 3
After writing the postcard they are provided with a meter long string/thread
They are asked to connect the string/thread with their friends or others or they can just make anything out of it
They have 10 minutes to create or connect with others

To my surprise nobody connected their string/thread with anyone, they rather sat to them and played with it to create something they like.
